Dating Service "Mamba" to Become Mamba Group Ecosystem

The online dating service "Mamba" has filed an application with Rospatent for a new Mamba Group logo for its ecosystem, RB.RU has learned. The application was submitted by Mamba JSC. Until now, the company had only registered brands for its service.

As the platform's CEO Andrey Bronetsky explained to RB.RU, "Mamba" is becoming not just a project, but an ecosystem of brands.

"We have come to the realization that our business is not just one project—the 'Mamba' dating service—but an ecosystem of brands, which includes Teamo, Masked Love, and 'Astrostar'. In this ecosystem, 'Mamba' is the consolidating project, which is why for external and internal communication we decided to register a new brand," explained Andrey Bronetsky.

The service's new brand is already being used on the corporate platform and in the job search service.

In 2023, the revenue of Mamba JSC grew by 89%, reaching 1.6 billion rubles, while net profit quadrupled to 450.2 million rubles. The company's shareholders are not disclosed.

The total revenue of all dating apps in Russia in 2024 will reach $52.6 million, which is 8.8% more than in 2023, according to Statista agency estimates from September.

Growth rates have slowed. In 2023, revenue from such apps, according to Statista data, grew by 26.6%, from $38.2 million to $48.4 million. This was linked to the ongoing transition of users from foreign dating applications to Russian platforms.

Mamba has been operating in the online dating market since 2003. According to the company's own data, it has over 1 million installations per month and 60 million profiles in the system. Mamba is an accredited IT company and an official developer of domestic software.

In addition to its flagship service of the same name, Mamba is also developing youth dating applications under the Wamba brand, the matrimonial service Teamo, international dating app Tourbar, and the astrology service Astrostar.

The founder of the analytical platform Dsight, Arseniy Dabbakh, estimated Mamba's share of the Russian market at over 60%.
